Happy Halloween

Since it is almost Christmas, I guess I should get some Halloween photos up. Here are some pictures of Crey in his halloween costume. He was a monkey. He was absolutely adorable!! He didn't want to wear the headpiece, but we did what we could to get a few pictures of him in it. We spent Halloween up at Grandma M's house. We decorated the whole house and made a haunted house for the kids that came trick or treating. Crey was not sure about a lot of the stuff. He was really scared if Mom or Dad put on masks. He did not like that at all!!!

My Little Walker

So, CP starting walking about the second week of October. One day he just decided it was time to walk and he was off. He had been taking 2-5 steps a time for the preceding couple months. But once he decided to go for it, he hasn't stopped. He is getting around really well now. Here are some pics of him walking up at his Grandma's house...

Lake Powell

We took a trip down to Lake Powell late in September. It was wonderful!! The weather was perfect and it was not very crowded at all since everyone was back in school. It was CP's first trip to the beach. He loved the sand! He enjoyed picking it up and watching it fall back out through his fingers. The water levels were pretty high this year. It was a good change from the past few years.

Welcome Back!!!

So I am feeling really guilty for starting this blog and then totally dropping off for 3 months!! Life has been so crazy and yet wonderful at the same time. I am going to try to catch us up on the last 3 months of our life...

A Case of the Giggles!!!

CP has quite the case of the giggles today! He usually makes you really work for a laugh, but today, he was laughing so hard! It was the cutest thing ever. I am just glad we had the camera handy! :) Check out this cute video!!

500 Cupcakes!!

So this is what 500 cupcakes look like. We had some friends of the family get married on 08-08-08. So we made 500 cupcakes for their open house. It was crazy! I was so exhausted. I think I am still trying to recover. My mom fell ill the morning of the open house, so it was kind of a push to finish on time since she was unable to help me that day. It was a very long day, but a lot of fun to see everything all done and put together!!

24th of July

For the 24th of July we headed up to watch CP's very first parade at Liberty Park. He enjoyed the stroller ride there and was very good considering how hot it got near the end of the parade. When we sat down, the first thing he went for was Great-Grandma's Skipbo cards. Good thing he didn't slobber them!! It was a great day! After the parade, we headed up to Grandma's house for a BBQ. He tried to show off his new crawling skills, but was a bit shy. He also got his first tooth a few days earlier and then his second came the day after the 24th. I am sure the top two teeth won't be too far behind.

My First Car!

Daddy was feeling bad a couple a weeks ago because CP has been teething. So.... he brought home the coolest new car. Creighton settles right down every time you put him in it!! He was so excited the first time he rode around the house and yard in it. Here is enjoying it!

CP loves to open and close the door on the side of the car. It also comes with working blinkers and radio. Dad wants to work on getting the headlights working, too. Can you tell Daddy loves getting toys more than the kid?!?!?!

Happy Birthday to Grandma! Here we are up at Millcreek Canyon. We went and roasted hot dogs and marshmellows up in the mountains for Grandma's birthday. It was so much fun! The weather was just perfect and the whole family was there.

Here we are just hanging out up at Grandma's! I hope she doesn't mind, but we picked some daisies from the backyard.

Baby's First Fourth!

What a fun first 4th of July we had! We found out that CP LOVES fireworks!! We spent the day with family, then we all hiked over to Sugarhouse Park to see the fireworks display. It was such a fun day that Crey did not get very much sleep during the day. He was exhausted by the time it was getting dark. Plus, it was past his bedtime. But, as soon as the sky lit up, he was totally hooked! I was so worried that he would be cranky and I would end up walking him around, but he really enjoyed the show. He screamed in the car the whole way home and slept very well that night!

Welcome to our family blog!

The first day of the rest of our lives together...

So we are new at this, but I figured it would be great for our friends and family to keep up to date with what is going on in our lives. Creighton is now almost 8 months old!! I cannot believe it. Speaking of Creighton, he doesn't want to let me type, so this is it for now. Here are some pictures of our little guy over the past 7 1/2 months... He is just too cute!!

Creighton Peter Hayes - Born November 21st at 3:29 am at St. Mark's Hospital. He was 6 pounds 7 ounces and 18 inches long.

This is how daddy gets me undressed! Or maybe my head is just so big that he can't get my shirt off?? Either way, I am pretty cute...
